Louisiana State University

Louisiana State University (LSU) is a public university located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Founded in 1853 under the name of Louisiana State Seminary of Learning & Military Academy. LSU's main campus is now dedicated in 1926, and consists of more than 250 buildings constructed in the style of Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, and occupies 650 acres (2.6 km²) plateau on the banks of the Mississippi River.
Louisiana State University is one of the largest higher education institutions in Louisiana which is also part of the Louisiana State University System. Additionally, Louisiana State University is one of the only higher education institution in the country where students can learn Cajun French.

LSU is the flagship institution of the University System of Louisiana State, and the largest institution of higher education in Louisiana in terms of student enrollment. In 2011, the University enrolled nearly 24,000 undergraduate and more than 5,000 graduate students in 14 schools and colleges. Some LSU graduate schools, such as the EJ Ourso College of Business and the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, has received national recognition in their respective fields of study. Designated as a land-grant institution, sea grant and space-grant, LSU is also famous for its extensive research facilities, operating approximately 800 sponsored research projects funded by agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

With 15 colleges and schools that have been recognized nationally, including the School of Veterinary Medicine, School of Social Work, School of Coast and Environment, Manship School of Mass Communication, College of Art & Design, College of Music & Drama, College of Science & Education Humans, EJ Ourso College of Business, Faculty of Agriculture, and the Faculty of Engineering, Louisiana State University offers a variety of courses with different academic degree programs in it.
To support various studies that have been and will be carried out by its members, the university has set aside large enough compiled from various parties.
