University of Alabama

University of Alabama is a first public college in Alabama, which was founded in 1831. Located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, United States.

The university offers various undergraduate and graduate degree programs, master's, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees. Students can win the title by taking studies that have been offered by the university, with more than 200 subject.

Many students entering and transfer students choose to participate in the Camp 1831, a three-day orientation program at a camp outside the campus. The University also provides a variety of organizations and sororities. Including Greek life is very subject to life, with more than 29% of the undergraduate student body participated. There are 63 social Greek letter organizations and in fall 2011 the university was named the Greatest Fraternity and Sorority community in the nation.

There is a pride for the university, especially in the field of sports, the school has one of the leading football programs in the nation, having won 23 SEC titles and 15 national championships, including the 2013 BCS National Championship and become the first school to win three BCS title. They are known as the Crimson Tide.

Well, for those students who are studying here, other than to gain knowledge, students also can develop their talents and abilities in sports, such as universities compete with other participants in the NCAA Division I Athletics competition, with the proud mascot, Big Al elephants.

University of Alabama has been consistently ranked as a top 50 public universities in the nation by US News & World Report and is rated selectivity "more selective". Year 2015 USN & WR rankings, UA tied for 88th in the category of National University (tied for 38th among public schools in the category, and first among universities in Alabama). In 2012, the University of Alabama was ranked 4th among Alabama universities by StateUniversity.com, behind Auburn University, Samford University, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Some schools UA is ranked individually, In 22 on 2015 USN & WR rankings, UA law school was ranked in the country, the business school tied for 58th, the nursing school attached to the 61st, and technical schools tied to 104. In March 2009, PRWeek magazine recognized public program relations with honorable mention in the award for PR Education Program of the Year in 2009.
