Weber State University

Weber State University (WSU) is a coeducational public university, founded in 1889, by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as the Weber Stake Academy, later renamed Academy Weber, Weber Normal College, and Weber College. High Weber became a junior college in 1933, and in 1962 became Weber State College. It gained university status in 1991, when it was renamed to its current name from Weber State University. The university is located in the city of Ogden, Weber County, Utah, United States.

Weber State University offers 215 certificate and degree programs in the performing arts, fine arts, humanities, science, science and technology, business and economics, education, social and behavioral sciences and health professions applied. Weber State University also offers studies degree integrated, enabling students to craft their own degree by choosing three separate disciplines and integrating them in a single thesis or capstone project. Master's degree is offered in accounting, business administration (MBA), professional communication, criminal justice, education, English, health administration, nursing and taxation.

WSU is divided into seven colleges following:
  1. College of Applied Science & Technology
  2. Telitha E. Lindquist College of Arts and Humanities
  3. John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics
  4. Jerry and Vickie Moyes College of Education
  5. Dr. Ezekiel R. Dumke College of Health Professions
  6. College of Science
  7. College of Social and Behavioral Sciences

Students can take the course title and departments in accordance with the wishes of each.

The University also offers a wide range of organizations and sororities, as well as university foundations. In fact, Sales Education Foundation, the University of Top Sales Program, managed to become one of the best schools to recruit sales professionals and representatives.

And for students who want to develop their talents and demonstrate their ability, can join the university sports teams. With mascot nicknamed the Wildcats, university sports teams compete with other participants in the NCAA Division I athletic competition in the Big Sky Conference.
