Franklin Pierce University

Franklin Pierce University is a small, private, non-profit, regionally accredited university in rural Rindge, New Hampshire, in the United States. It was established as the Franklin Pierce College in 1962, combines a liberal arts foundation with courses for professional preparation. Institutional mission focuses on preparing citizens and leaders of conscience for the new century that made significant contributions to the profession and their communities, whether they are global or local aspirations. School gained university status in 2007 and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). In 2009, Franklin Pierce University was ranked the top "Forbes List of Top American High". The university has an enrollment of 1,399 students and Pearly overlooking a pond, just a few miles from Mount Monadnock. The campus covers about 1,200 acres (4.9 km2). Andrew Card is the current president of Franklin Pierce University, replaces outgoing president Dr. James F. Birge in January 2015. The university also operates The College of Graduate and Professional Studies with a campus in Manchester, Portsmouth, and Lebanon, New Hampshire, as well as Goodyear, Arizona.

Franklin Pierce also offers students a master's degree, doctorate, and several graduate certificate program. These programs take place at The College of Graduate and Professional Studies campus in Manchester, Portsmouth, Lebanon, New Hampshire, and Goodyear, Arizona

Franklin Pierce offers 23 varsity sports that compete at the NCAA Division II and competes in the Northeast-10 Conference (with the exception of Golf, rowing, and Sprint Football program). The programs include Baseball, Men and Basketball Women, Bowling Women's, Men's and Women's Cross Country, Field Hockey, Men and Golf Women, Men and Ice Hockey Women's Lacrosse Men and Women, Rowing Women, Soccer Men and Women, Softball, Sprint Football, Men's and Women's Tennis, Men's and Women's Track and Field, and Volleyball Women. The University offers rugby men and women at the club level, with both programs recognized by NERFU.

Rindge campus offers more than 40% participation rate in 40 intramural sports and also features Active Recreation adventure program.

Women's soccer team has won five national championships (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999), and the men's soccer team won the 2007 national championship women's basketball team has won three regional championships

Rindge athletic facilities on campus including Melissa Bisaccia Memorial Softball Complex, Pappas Field, Sodexo Field and Event Center Grimshaw-Gudewicz in Northfields.
